Environment Settings tab: name, default Environment flag, and Danger Zone delete.

Open an Environment

from the Application Environments tab, then choose the Settings tab (or use Settings from the row Actions menu). The page title is Settings with the description: update this environment’s name and default preference.

This is Environment scope. Application name, description, and Application-level delete are under the Application Settings tab. See Application settings under Applications in the sidebar. Compute is configured under the Compute tab. See Attach compute to an environment.

General

Card General: “Name and default environment for this application.”

ControlPurpose
Environment NameDisplay name for this stage (for example production, staging). Save with Save Changes when enabled.
Use as default environment for this applicationWhen checked, this Environment is the default for dashboard shortcuts and highlights. Aligns with Default environment under Applications in the sidebar.

Save Changes is enabled only when there are edits; saving shows a success toast in the product.

Expected outcome: The Environments list and headers show the updated name; the default Environment matches your selection.

Danger Zone

Card Danger Zone: “Irreversible actions for this environment.”

ActionEffect
Delete EnvironmentOpens a confirmation flow. Deleting removes the Environment and its Services as described in the dialog. This cannot be undone.

Expected outcome: After confirmation, the Environment disappears from Manage Environments and related Services are removed per the product.
